Dear Friends:
I greet all of you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ! As we prepare to celebrate the birth of the Savior, I felt compelled to remind us of why Jesus Christ came into the world. While the secular sector of society celebrate in a way that is inconsistent with the true meaning of Christmas, Christians need to focus on and appreciate the real reason for the season! Therefore, I submit the following reasons as to why our loving Lord came into the world:
- To Save Sinners (1 Timothy 1:15-16)
- To Fulfill Old Testament Prophecy (Isaiah 53:1-12)
- To Reveal the Unseen God (John 1:18)
- To Destroy the Works of the Devil ( 1 John 3:8)
- To Bear Witness to the Truth ( John 18:37-38)
These verses serve to help us understand the purpose for which the Savior came into the world. As you and I celebrate Christmas, my prayer is that we will be reminded of the awesome gift that God has given to the world in the person of His dear Son and our Savior, Jesus the Christ!
