  2. ON POINT, KEEP IT COMMING, JUST STAY REAL

  3. I appreciate what you are doing and I will be sure to spread the word about your site. I once heard Bishop Ulmer say something like, if death couldn’t get through the blood of Jesus, what makes you think a “generational curse” can. In other words, the power of the cross far exceeds any curse. At that point, it started me rethinking all of the teaching I was receiving at that time on generational curses. Just wanted to share.

  4. WOW! this is awesome. When I began reading the first post, I thought ” what?? This is completely over my head”. As I read on and read the second post I realized that I completely understood and have encountered such beliefs. In college, there is a young lady whose self-esteem had been broken since childhood. She would boost herself, but finding comfort or acceptance in the arms of various men on campus. I had befriended this young lady, who was sweet and kind, but just didn’t love herself. Once night, while pigging out on some blue bell ice cream, I asked her why did she mistreat herself and her body the way she did. She said” my mom had done it all her life. I guess I am carrying on the sins of my mother.” I had never heard of such a thing. I tried to convince her that she didn’t have to do the same as her mother and that she isn’t responible for her mother’s sins. She said this behavior (sins) had a hold on her and she couldn’t shake it no matter what. We talked about it, into the early hours of the morning. It turns out that my encouraging words came off as judgment to her, so we never talked about it again. It seems like that age- old cliche of “If I knew then…” comes into play yet again. If I knew then, what I know now, I’m sure I could have hung in there with this friend.

Thank you for the enlightening lesson. I will share this site friends. I will check in regularly, so keep it coming!
